Our curriculum began as our founder's detailed outline: Islamic studies in ten levels per subject, applied Islam, character and ethics, Qur'an and Arabic, core academics, and electives. Lessons are now being written and reviewed, one at a time. Every subject below shows where it really stands.

Unit and lesson titles appear only once a level has been reviewed. Units held for review (a scholar, a clinician, or both must sign them first) show as held, without their titles. Adult courses are listed separately and never reach a child's account.
Islamic Studies
Aqeedah (Islamic theology), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Seerah (the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), and Islamic History, each in ten progressive levels, from the foundations of faith toward an in-depth understanding of Islamic belief, law, and history.
Islamic History
Islamic History is a vast and profound subject that spans over 1,400 years, covering the birth of Islam, the expansion of Muslim civilizations, cultural contributions, and modern challenges.

Aqeedah
The Aqeedah course is not just an introduction to Islamic belief. It is a thrilling journey into the unseen, the eternal, and the deeply personal.

Fiqh
Fiqh, or Islamic Jurisprudence, is the understanding and application of Islamic law (Shariah) derived from the Qur’an, Sunnah, scholarly consensus (Ijma’), and legal reasoning (Qiyas).

Seerah
To study the Seerah is to walk beside the Prophet ﷺ as he lived, wept, prayed, forgave, led, and loved. It is to learn how Islam wasn’t revealed into a vacuum: it was revealed into a world of struggle, injustice, heartbreak, and hope.

Qur'anic Arabic
The grammar and vocabulary of the Qur'an, so students can follow the meaning of what they recite. Taught from a published series to be chosen.

Qur'an and Arabic
Qur'an is its own subject with its own record: Qaida, reading from the mushaf, and memorization at each child's pace, in the recitation of Hafs from 'Asim. Arabic is Modern Standard Arabic taught from a published series.

Arabic
Modern Standard Arabic in six levels mapped to ACTFL proficiency, from first letters to everyday conversation and reading. Taught from a published series to be chosen; heritage and non-heritage students learn in separate groups from grade 3.

Applied Islam is where knowledge meets action: the real-world practice of Islamic principles in everyday life, at home, in the community, and in the heart.

Prayer (Salah) and Fasting (Sawm) are not simply acts of worship: they are the heartbeat of a believer’s relationship with Allah.

Character and Ethics
Character and Ethics (Akhlaq and Adab) forms the moral foundation of a Muslim's personal and social life. Rooted in the example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, it cultivates integrity, humility, and compassion.
Akhlaq (Character Development)
The essence of Islamic character (akhlaq) is to reflect the beauty of Allah’s names through our actions: mercy, patience, justice, humility, and generosity.

Adab (Etiquette)
Adab is the graceful art of living with awareness, intention, and beauty in every action. While akhlaq speaks to the internal compass of character, adab expresses that character through manners, habits, and interactions that reflect respect: toward Allah, people, places, time, and even the self.

Empathy
This course explores how empathy shapes our identity as believers. It begins with learning to recognize emotions in ourselves and others, and grows into practical action: listening deeply, comforting the grieving, helping the misunderstood, and building an emotionally intelligent ummah.

Social Relationships
Humans are social beings, created to live in families, communities, and nations. Islam offers clear guidance on how to build, maintain, and repair relationships in a way that reflects divine mercy, justice, and mutual responsibility.

Every Islamic studies lesson is checked by a qualified reviewer, and our Scholarly Review Board signs creed, rulings, and sensitive units. How review works.
Sources on every lesson
Every hadith shows its collection, reference, and grade. Core academic lessons name the curriculum they come from and its license.
AI drafting, disclosed
Some lesson text is drafted with AI help. Every such lesson says so and names the role that approved it. Qur'an text and hadith text are never written by AI.
How much Islamic learning is in a week?
Rather than promise a percentage, we publish the minutes. The Islamic studies and Qur'an minutes for each grade band are on A Week at SII. Practical worship lessons show the way your family follows, and your child is never marked wrong for following a recognized position of the four Sunni schools.
