Our first adult course is Islamic Foundations: a free, 12-week introduction to what Muslims believe and how they live. It is published as open lessons on this website, for anyone 18 or older, with no account and no sign-up.

What it covers
The foundations, in plain words
Islamic Foundations walks through belief, worship, the life of the Prophet ﷺ, character, and daily practice, one theme a week. It is written for new Muslims, for people curious about Islam, and for parents who want to refresh the basics before teaching their children.
Lessons are published one at a time, only after each has been reviewed. Where a lesson is not ready, the course page says so. Every lesson shows who approved it, and any lesson drafted with AI help says so.
How it works in year one
- Open lessons you can read at your own pace.
- No account, no sign-up, and no analytics watching what you read.
- Questions about your own situation go to your local imam or a scholar you trust. SII teaches Islam; it does not issue fatwas.
Adults and children never mix
A wall between adult learning and children's classes
Adults only
Courses in this program are for adults 18 and older. Adult learners are never placed in a class, group, or conversation with anyone under 18. Our software refuses it.
Adult topics stay here
Adult material from our founder's curriculum, such as Family Planning and the adult editions of Personal Finance and Professional Ethics, lives only in this program and never reaches a child's account.
A note for teenagers
If you are under 18 and want to learn, you are welcome to read the open lessons. Classes and accounts for young people go through a parent or guardian, in our children's programs.
Later
What comes after year one
Adult accounts, live classes for adults, and more courses come later, once the wall between adult and children's learning has been built and tested. The adult Family Planning course waits until a qualified jurist and a woman scholar have reviewed it.
Staff and learners may not propose, arrange, or broker marriage in any SII class or channel. New Muslims come to learn, and we protect that.
