Our year runs on the school calendar you know and the Hijri calendar our faith keeps. Every date below shows both. Dates for our founding year, 2027-2028, are planned and may still change; we will tell families before any change.

This is the planned calendar for 2027-2028; dates may change before enrollment opens. Islamic dates follow the Fiqh Council of North America's calculated calendar. Both Eids and the day after each are holidays, so a family who follows local moon sighting is never marked absent on their Eid.

Eid, for every family

We plan the year on the calculated calendar of the Fiqh Council of North America. The day after each calculated Eid is also a school holiday, so families who follow local moon sighting are never marked absent on their Eid.

Ramadan

During Ramadan the live school day is shorter. No test or project is due in the last ten nights of Ramadan or on the Eid days (each Eid and the day after): our software will not let a teacher set one due then, and tells the teacher why.

Fridays

There is no live class around Jumu'ah on Fridays, for any family in the class, so families can pray together.

Religious observance

A day away for religious observance is always an excused absence. No note is needed. Just let your child's teacher or advisor know.

Signed-in families see this calendar in the Family Portal with their own children's classes and deadlines, and can add it to their phone's calendar through a private link that only their family holds and can reset at any time. The link carries the school's dates and each child's live classes by course name; children's first names appear in it only if the family ticks that box.
