Accessibility Statement
Every child and every parent should be able to use our school, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, captions, magnification, or more time. This statement says what we build to, what we have and have not tested, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

The standard we build to
Our website, the Learning Hub, the Family Portal, and our office tools are built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We say "built to" rather than "compliant," because no one can promise a site with no barriers at all. When we find one, we fix it.
Testing
Last full test: not yet run. The date of our first full test, done before the school opens, will be added here, and the page will be updated after each full test. Each full test includes automated checks, keyboard-only use, a screen reader, 200% zoom, and a narrow phone screen, on every kind of page.
Known gaps
- Live classes. Our video classroom provider has not yet been chosen and tested. We will test its accessibility before any class runs, and list what we find here.
- Arabic and Qur'an text. Screen readers vary in how well they read Arabic with full vowel marks. Qur'an teachers adapt reading tasks for students who need it.
- Documents families upload. Old report cards or scanned records that families share may not be accessible, and we cannot always fix them.
- Lessons still being written. Our lesson editor checks each lesson before it is published (images need text descriptions, and video and audio need captions), but lessons from older outlines are being rewritten to this standard.
What we build in
- No puzzle tests or image challenges at sign-in or on our forms. We use quieter protections instead.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and controls meet contrast minimums, and nothing is shown by color alone.
- Every form field has a label, and every error says what went wrong and how to fix it.
- Pages work on a phone from 360 pixels wide, and respect a device's reduced-motion setting.
- Timed quizzes honor a student's extended-time accommodation automatically.
- Captions for live classes can come from the device's own live captions, which run on the device and send nothing to anyone. Where that is not enough, we arrange a human captioner.
Accommodations for students
Accommodations such as extended time, extra attempts, extended due dates, read-aloud, and breaks are provided at no charge. A named person decides each request within 10 school days, and our software then applies the plan automatically. See Learning Support.
