Level 6: Criminal Law and Islamic Punishments (Hudud)

This course focuses on Islamic criminal law (Hudud) and legal punishments in Islam. It covers the objectives of Islamic law (Maqasid al-Shariah), categories of crimes, evidence requirements, and the principles of justice in criminal cases. Students will develop an understanding of how Islamic law ensures fairness, prevents oppression, and upholds societal balance. The course also explores contemporary discussions on crime and punishment in Islamic jurisprudence.

Planned: 4 modules, 20 units, 60 lesson titles. 20 units are held for review.
