Personal Finance
Level 8: Islamic Contracts and Transactions
For adults 18 and older
Outline only
Islamic financial dealings are not just about profit: they’re about upholding honesty, fairness, and mutual benefit. Whether you’re buying a house, starting a business, loaning money, or partnering with someone, contracts in Islam are taken seriously: they’re a trust before Allah.
In this level, we explore how to create, honor, and navigate contracts the Islamic way: in personal finance, business, loans, sales, and partnerships. We’ll also learn about key prohibitions like riba (interest) and gharar (excessive uncertainty), and how to protect ourselves and others from injustice in financial relationships.
Planned: 8 modules, 40 units, 120 lesson titles. 1 unit is held for review.
Outline: the course plan comes from our founder's curriculum, and lessons are being written and reviewed. Module, unit, and lesson titles appear here once scholars have reviewed a level.
