Level 8 of the Islamic History Curriculum explores Islam in the Modern World: Globalization, Reform, and Contemporary Challenges. This level focuses on the modern evolution of Islam, including political, economic, social, and technological developments, while analyzing how Muslim societies are shaping and being shaped by the globalized world.

Students will gain insight into the role of Islam in contemporary global affairs, the emergence of reform movements, and the evolving identity of Muslims in different regions. The course will also cover Muslim contributions to modern science, economics, diplomacy, and interfaith relations.

  • Understand the role of Islam in modern geopolitics and international relations.
  • Analyze key reform movements and contemporary Islamic thought.
  • Explore the economic development and technological advancements in Muslim societies.
  • Examine the challenges faced by Muslim minorities and the impact of globalization on Islamic identity.
  • Assess the future trajectory of Islam in an increasingly interconnected world.
