Akhlaq (Character Development)
Level 6: Dealing with the Inner Struggles
Outline only
Every person faces battles within: the unseen struggles of the heart and soul that shape who we are. While the outer actions of akhlaq are visible to others, the true test of character often lies in the internal struggles: against pride, jealousy, anger, laziness, greed, and ego. Islam not only acknowledges these battles: it provides tools to master them.
This level focuses on recognizing and confronting the most common diseases of the heart, using both spiritual and psychological strategies rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Students will learn how to deal with negative emotions and destructive impulses, replacing them with spiritual strength, emotional intelligence, and refined behavior. This level is about gaining victory over the self (nafs): a journey essential for lasting character development.
Planned: 6 modules, 30 units, 90 lesson titles. 1 unit is held for review.
Outline: the course plan comes from our founder's curriculum, and lessons are being written and reviewed. Module, unit, and lesson titles appear here once scholars have reviewed a level.
