Level 1: The Foundations of Islamic Character

Outline only

Good character is not optional in Islam: it is the very essence of faith in action. Before we can cultivate noble traits, we must understand what character (akhlaq) truly is, why it matters, and how deeply it connects to our relationship with Allah. This first level introduces students to the foundational concepts of Islamic character: its spiritual roots, its connection to belief (iman), and its centrality in the life of a Muslim.

By grounding the journey in understanding, reflection, and sincere intention, students will begin to observe their own behaviors, recognize the importance of intentional growth, and develop the mindset of tazkiyah (purification of the soul) as a lifelong mission. This level builds a solid base of motivation and direction, preparing students to engage deeply in the levels ahead.

Planned: 6 modules, 30 units, 90 lesson titles.

Outline: the course plan comes from our founder's curriculum, and lessons are being written and reviewed. Module, unit, and lesson titles appear here once scholars have reviewed a level.
