Adab (Etiquette)

Level 9: Adab in the Modern World and Online Spaces

Outline only

The digital world has transformed how we communicate, learn, and express ourselves, but it has also introduced new challenges to etiquette. In spaces where people are often anonymous, distracted, or disconnected, adab can feel like a lost art. Yet Islam calls us to carry our manners with us everywhere, including screens, texts, and virtual spaces.

This level focuses on the etiquette of modern life, especially online behavior, digital communication, and navigating technology with integrity. Students will learn how to express Islamic values through social media, texts, emails, comments, and content sharing. They’ll also explore how to resist vanity, addiction, and digital harm through the lens of reverence and moderation.

Because even behind a screen, Allah sees, and the believer still shines with adab.

Planned: 6 modules, 30 units, 90 lesson titles.

Outline: the course plan comes from our founder's curriculum, and lessons are being written and reviewed. Module, unit, and lesson titles appear here once scholars have reviewed a level.
