Adab (Etiquette)

Level 5: Adab in the Home and With Family

Outline only

Home is the first place where our adab is truly tested, and where it matters most. It’s easy to be polite in public, but our real character is reflected in how we treat our parents, siblings, children, spouses, and relatives behind closed doors. Islam teaches that adab begins at home.

This level focuses on etiquette within family life, from honoring parents to being gentle with children, resolving conflict with grace, and creating an atmosphere of love and mutual respect. The home is a space of mercy (rahmah), and through consistent adab, it becomes a place of barakah, emotional safety, and spiritual growth.

By the end of this level, students will understand that family is not just about duty: it’s about showing beauty, starting with the people closest to us.

Planned: 6 modules, 30 units, 90 lesson titles.

Outline: the course plan comes from our founder's curriculum, and lessons are being written and reviewed. Module, unit, and lesson titles appear here once scholars have reviewed a level.
