Electives

At Southern Islamic Institute, we believe that education should nurture the whole student — intellectually, creatively, socially, and spiritually. Our Electives Program allows students to explore their interests, discover new skills, and build confidence in ways that complement their core academics and Islamic studies.

From art and movement to languages and life skills, our electives reflect our belief that every talent is a trust, and every student deserves the opportunity to grow in more than just grades.

How Electives Fit Into Our Schedule

Electives are built into both our in-person and online learning models. In-person students will have scheduled enrichment sessions throughout the week. Online students may access self-paced elective modules or join virtual group sessions based on interest and availability.

We encourage all students to participate in at least one elective per trimester — with the option to rotate or explore new subjects throughout the year.

Enrolling in Electives

During the enrollment process, students will be asked to indicate their top 2–3 elective preferences. While we aim to honor all requests, placement may depend on schedule availability and class size.

📩 Students and parents may also submit new elective ideas or request special enrichment opportunities throughout the year.
